Blemish Care

Never squeeze a pimple. Instead, apply ice to it several times a day. This will help fight bacteria and will reduce swelling. It also heals the skin by boosting circulation. Drink at least eight glasses of water a day and eat plenty of high fibre foods.

Here's a great remedy for overnight care that helps heal and dry breakouts:

Mix several drops of tea tree oil with half a teaspoon of cosmetic clay and add a few drops of water. You want to create a thick paste. Apply the mixture to any breakouts and leave on overnight.

Honey Mask

When buying honey, choose raw, unprocessed honey. Raw honey retains its medicinal properties and is perfect for oily, blemished skin because it is antibacterial and it moisturizes the skin without making it oily. Mineral-rich clays absorb oil and pull toxins from the skin. Lavender essential smells great and soothes inflamed skin and helps heal blemishes.

Mix the following ingredients into a paste and apply on damp skin. Wait 15-20 minutes and remove with warm water

2 1/2 Tablespoons of raw honey
1 1/2 Teaspoons of cosmetic clay - I use Kaolin (more gentle) or Bentonite
3 drops of lavender essential oil
